Shame on Hawaii..HB 444 approved
What a bunch of slime our state representatives are. Waiting until the last day of session to approve the Same Sex Marriage (Civil Unions). With the exception of Joe Souki (Waiehu), all our reps voted in favor of this bill. Now our only hope is that Gov. Lingle opposes this bill by Vetoing it. I have my concerns whether she will or not. We need you to email or call the Governor’s office requesting that she veto this bill.

Is that URL listed above an online petition we can all sign?
Yes that is the website to contact the Gov.
Roger that, Mahalo for your prompt reply.
Isn’t god supposed to love and accept all people? Man, I must’ve gone to the wrong church then.
HI Amanda,
It does look like you went to the wrong church. What is more important than going to church is understanding the words of God. The Bible is your best roadmap to pleasing God. All have sinned. All need repentance and forgiveness of sin, be it Homosexual sin or Adultery. None of us are acceptable unto God, unless we come before him clean as the fresh driven snow.
I agree. We need Jesus in order to be saved. Jesus died to pay the bill for our sins.
What I do not like is the argument that this is a civil rights issue. Nobody, gay or otherwise has less rights than the person next to them. Secondly, advocates keep claiming that this is not in anyway related to gay marriage. We all know that a passage of HB444 would be the platform for advocates to justify gay marriage.
It is a dangerous road we are heading down. If this is truly about equal rights, then we may also cross paths very soon with incestuous couples wanting marriage, or beastiality being legal, or men wanting to marry underaged, but consenting girls.
Where do we draw the line?
