It is true, this state is run by libs, but what else seems to be true, is the amount of non libs, on Maui i feel we outnumber them. It is just a matter of asserting ourselves, cleaning house. That is the dilema, how to clean house.

I saw on the news last night where one of the State workers getting interviewed, complained that she would not be able to take her family to the movies if she has to take a furlough. Whahhh!!! How about sucking it up like the rest of us non state workers. And don’t feel threatened if one of the Union members leaves a card at your business showing they are a Union member shopping at your establishment. Hard times are hitting everyone, we all have to tighten the belts.

I have several small buisnesses and all have to cut back including eliminating a small office to reduce overhead. Adjusted prices on bids to try to get work, and a reduction of 15% in employee wages or go get another job. Sustantial spending of savings to keep my buisness running. I see some county employees with raises. Our County, State and especially the Federal Govt. is overbloated and hireing. Us taxpayers have to tighten our belts— so does the Goverment, all levels!

The only way we can sustain our govt and services is to cut back become more efficient. There should be a no growth policy from now on and no addition for attrition in state government.
Every department should get along with less.

Hawaii is, and has been for 40+years, run by socialistic democrats and unions. Until the unions are broken down there seems little hope here.
