MY thoughts on National Health Care.   

The video starts out by saying the cost of health care as grown by 130% since the beginning of this century.   Nothing is said to the reason for the growth.  What do you think is the reason?   I have to theories on this.

1) Libel suites against the Doctors and Health Services.  The cost of insurance for a physician to practice medicine has grown to gigantic proportions in my life time.  Yes, Doctors have made mistakes.  You know what?  If I knew of a good Dr. that did not carry the insurance cost and extra expenses in running a  health facility, I would sign a paper saying I will not sue for an error.  It is like hiring any professional. Check their credentials.   I guess this is old school.  Too many Lawyers would loose their jobs.

2) Hospitals are required to give treatment to anyone who walks in the door at the emergency room.  Do you know how many times a patient can go to the ER and get treated for a cold?  Not only is the system abused, the facility must also treat Illegal immigrants.  Is the cost recovered?  Yes, but through higher cost to you and your insurance company.

I don’t see this Blog changing the world, but I really wish our leaders had the courage to stand up for what is right.
