Boycott GM and Chrysler?
I am doing this for the first time. Unusual circumstance demands response. When government acts become so onerous it is up to people of good character to do something about it.
Obama\’s destruction of two centuries of contract law cannot go unchallenged. The lynch-pin of our free enterprise system was kicked away by our Neo-Socialist President in order to help the UAW that launched his political career. Secured bondholders, most of whom are retirees depending on the income, were strong armed out of their rights by administration threats against the securities companies the bondholders chose to represent them fiscally. Their property rights robbed to “spread the wealth around”!
Now our Man-boy President throws $50 billion in unfair competitive advantage at car companies “he doesn\’t want to run” while using new power granted to the EPA by the courts ( C02 is now a pollutant) to mandate what kind of vehicle is to be produced. Whose next? Ford? Upstart Tesla Motors? Will the all be run as efficiently as Amtrak?
The brings up another major point about America\’s Man-boy in Chief. It was dictatorial power granted by the Supreme Court that allowed the President to decide through the Executive Branch what national fleet milage standards are. Note how Obama easily lied with a claim “he got people together to do the deal”, bringing all the industry leaders to the White House for a sunshine and Lolly-Pops photo op for the State run Media. Like the bankruptcy of GM it was back-door strong arm threats. With new power in the executive branch through the EPA Obama held all the cards.
These somewhat linked events make it clear the new President is a radical, more often than not stating one thing with the tele-prompter, while doing opposite. His recent speeches in Egypt and about Sotomayer show he lies easily most of the time and exaggerates the rest. These event also forces one to remember Obama promised to “reshape America” in his inauguration speech. A beginning clearing the picture what that really means. Now the radical is leaping to Universal Healthcare, Cap and Trade, a national Value Added Tax, and Card Check by fall.
I say its time to start to put an end to this nonsense. This is more than sending a message, its about putting an end to Obama\’s reign of terror while “the people” can. It a moral matter. We cannot accept a nation that will trade rule of law for that of a rabble seeking political favor through a man cited as “A God” by the editor of Newsweek. Beware of false prophets…
Boycott GM and Chrysler. Yes I know this is hard. You may have a long relationship with these companies. I do, my favorite car is a Caddy STS. My dad had a couple, I had one two years ago, but I won\’t be buying another until the government gets the hell out.
Don\’t deal with them on any level. No new or used off their lot, no parts, (Go to NAPA). Give them no respect in the community. Don\’t even worry about “Hurting friends or workers at your local GM dealership.” Demand will still be there, it will just shift to your local Ford, Toyota, or Hyundai broker. Those laid off at GM will find a alternate position elsewhere. Either squash this socialist nightmare now, or pay later.
